The discovery of the stem cells potential has brought about a significant breakthrough in medicine. Research on the effectiveness of therapy with their usage has confirmed its high effectiveness and has indicated the achievement of spectacular therapeutic results.
Stem cells, also known as mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are recognised as a valuable tool for regenerative medicine and are used in various fields, since they support the regulatory repair processes in the body. These cells main feature is multipotency. They have the ability to differentiate into numerous types of specialized cells of the human body, as well as the ability to quickly multiply and regenerate
The presence of mesenchymal cells has been confirmed in most human tissues, such as, for example, umbilical cord blood, amniotic fluid, placenta, bone marrow, heart as well as adipose tissue.
ADIPOSE TISSUE – A GREAT SOURCE OF STEM CELLS
In 2000, MSCs (mesenchymal stem cells) were found in adipose tissue and recognized as their excellent source. The adipose tissue often occurs in excess and the patients are eager to get rid of it. It is very easily available (it can be taken in large quantities), besides it contains a very large amount of valuable stem cells, which with the usage of modern equipment can be obtained in a minimally invasive way, and used in both healing and regenerative therapies.
VERSATILITY OF CELL THERAPY
There has been a lot of research on the action and use of stem cells throughout the world. Some of them have also been conducted in many Polish centres, where the use of cells obtained from the adipose tissue is mainly analysed. There are, among others, innovative therapies in the field of neurology. Mesenchymal stem cells can also be used in the treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system, reconstruction of bone and cartilage tissues or treatment of osteoarthritis (eg knees, elbows).
HOPE FOR ORTHOPEDIA
Stem cells stimulate the healing of tendons and damaged parts of joints, they accelerate their reconstruction. In addition to improving the quality and quantity of cartilage in the joint, they bring analgesic effect, which improves the comfort of life of the patients. It is very important to properly qualify the patient to achieve the expected results of the therapy. If it is necessary, during the first stage, the damaged tissues are surgically removed, then the stem cell therapy can be conducted in a place that give promises for reconstruction. The treatment is based on administering a suspension with stem cells into the treated place, which fills the interior of the joint, activating physiological factors for anti-inflammatory action and healing damaged tissue. From this moment, the regeneration process begins. Damaged tissues send impulses that stem cells receive, they transform them into specialized types of repair cells. For example, stem cells implanted in damaged cartilage have the ability to transform into cartilage cells and support its reconstruction.
HIGHER LEVEL OF SKIN REGENERATION
Stem cells are a valuable material in purely therapeutic treatments, also in the field of dermatology and aesthetic medicine. We use their potential to achieve excellent effects of skin reconstruction and tissue regeneration. Therapy with their use is ideal for the treatment of photodamage, all kinds of scars – acne, post-operative, post-traumatic. Stem cells stimulate the healing process, have anti-inflammatory feature, and have the ability to reduce the risk of scarring and hypertrophic scars. Therefore, they are perfect for the treatment of chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, skin changes in patients with diabetes, wounds caused by ischaemia or infection, as well as in the treatment of deep, extensive burns.
The use of stem cells obtained from the adipose tissue is also a great method for skin regeneration after radiotherapy. The re-implanted adipose tissue can be enriched with the stem cells suspension, which intensifies the effects of tissue defects treatment.
3 BENEFITS – LIPOSUCTION, RE-IMPLANTATION, REGENERATION
In order to take full advantage of the possibilities offered by the therapy conducted with the usage of adipose tissue, a system of cooperating modern technologies was created, that allows – first of all – the body fat collection with simultaneous shrinking and firming of the skin, secondly – transplantation of the obtained tissue into its cavity or areas requiring regeneration and, thirdly, the isolation of valuable material rich in stem cells that can be used in therapeutic treatments.

Treatments of modern laser liposuction do not require general anaesthesia and convalescence period. The procedure allows us to effectively remove unwanted adipose tissue and, additionally, thanks to the proper temperature, simultaneously firm and shrink the skin in the treatment area – which reduces the risk of excess skin fold after liposuction. The extracted adipose tissue is “not wasted”! As a result of the use of specialized equipment, fat cells are not destroyed, and the collected material is a source of stem cells and is perfectly suitable for transplantation elsewhere on the body. What is more – the obtained adipose tissue can be subjected to specialized processing, so as to obtain a concentrated material rich in stem cells. Such enrichment of fat cells prepared for transplantation additionally intensifies the effects of the treatment.

So we can conduct liposuction and slim down a given area of the body, for example, the abdomen, thighs, arms, we also have the possibility of autotransplantation, which is the transplantation of adipose tissue to the places of its losses and the area requiring regeneration. We are therefore able to successfully regenerate the skin of the breast, which got flabby over time or after pregnancy and feeding, and reconstruct them, e.g. after mastectomy, shape the buttocks, fill the furrows, wrinkles, sunken cheeks, or correct the face oval. The system also gives us the possibility of specialized preparation of the adipose tissue, thanks to which fat cells together with the concentrated stem cell material not only fill the tissue losses, but also stimulate the skin to self-heal (improved skin condition and treatment of, among others – scars, wounds, burns). The important fact is that the entire procedure is performed during only one, single treatment! The use of innovative equipment makes the treatments minimally invasive and comfortable. The transplantation of adipose tissue, e.g. in the face area, does not cause oedema and does not require a recovery period.

Due to the autologous material, the risk of allergic reactions is eliminated, the procedures are safe, comfortable, minimally invasive, and there is no need for a recovery period and, what is important, they bring excellent results.
